Be part of an exclusive live performance with two of America’s most famous TV personalities: NBC late-night comedian Jimmy Fallon and Comedy Central political satirist Stephen Colbert. Presented as a benefit by the Montclair Film Festival, this special event provides a no-holds-barred glimpse into the work and lives of these comedic geniuses, prior to Fallon’s move to The Tonight Show. Colbert, who is a member of the Montclair Film Festival Advisory Board, also held conversations with Jonathan Alter in 2011 and Jon Stewart in 2012. The third annual festival will be held from April 28-May 4, 2014.
A native of Brooklyn, Fallon is the host of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and was a cast member of Saturday Night Live for six seasons. Fallon is scheduled to replace Jay Leno as gabmaster of The Tonight Show following the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Colbert, a multiple Emmy Award winner, landed his television breakthrough role on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 1997, when he joined the cast as a correspondent. In 2005, his signature show, The Colbert Report, introduced viewers to the character of a conservative pundit who stands for truthiness, justice and the American way.
