Breaking News: Whole Foods to Open Downtown

You heard it HERE first last week! Tomorrow is the OFFICIAL announcement. Whole Foods will occupy 29,000 square feet in the Hahne's building.

Looks like the ink might be drying on a lease for Whole Foods to be a tenant at the abandoned Hahne's Building downtown.
It was also heard at the same meeting, a Wyndham Tryp Hotel to come where the current Carlton Hotel is downtown. Tryp is a new brand for the Wyndham group - there is one in Times Square.
More details once they are "officially" released.
EDITOR NOTE (10/3; 11:35am): James Allen, Director of Communications for the City of Newark, said there is no confirmed lease with Whole Foods.
