Haroon Moghul is the fellow in Jewish-Muslim relations at the Shalom Hartman Institute. How to be a Muslim is his third book. It details his coming-of-age story as an American Muslim and his struggle to forget his identity as a second-generation immigrant in post 9/11 world. Moghul documents the crushing pressures of living in a world that shuns and fears Muslims as well as his own compicated relationship with Islam and his battles with bipolar disorder.
